Moon sign calendar and its uses

Moon sign calendar is a calendar that is made up of moon dates. It has 12 months in it that have 29-30 days depending on the moon. There are total 12 lunar cycles in Chinese moon sign calendar and only one 12 month cycle in Islamic moon sign calendar. This calendar is different as compared to western calendar that is most commonly used in the world.

However those places in the world that use moon sign calendar have the tradition to use this calendar and they follow it accordingly. Usually in most countries Georgian calendar is used but those countries that have been using moon sign calendar still use it to mark their occasions and festivals. Chinese follow their calendar so that they can easily come to know about their festivals and religious occasions on the other hand Muslims also use their moon sign calendar or Islamic calendar to celebrate their religious festivals too. There are many reasons to use these calendars and most of them are traditional or religious. People use moon sign calendar to find the best date for marriage as they believe that these special dates have extra luck with them. When ever some has to do some important task they prefer to follow moon sign calendar so that they can start that task on that particular day that is sacred or has good luck with it.

With the advancements in the world all calendars have been synchronized now but one thing that has to be kept in mind is that moon sign calendar does not have a good synchronization with Georgian calendar as it totally depends on moon. The size of moon describes a particular date in such calendars and those people who follow these calendars keep an account of moon size and its dates to keep the calendar updated.
